Falkland Islands Distillers

Falkland Islands Distillers is a small craft distillery under development in Stanley. Surrounded by our pristine, rugged and truly magnificent environment, we have been distilling hand foraged botanicals since 2016, developing carefully hand crafted spirits, which capture the essence of our remote and breathtaking South Atlantic islands.

In March 2019 we were delighted to open Philomel Distillery in Stanley and launch our first gin, Darwin’s Botanicals. This is handcrafted in small batches using locally foraged botanicals including diddle-dee, tea berries and scurvy grass.

We hope that we have created a gin to give a truly memorable and unique Falkland Islands experience.

From the end of May 2020 we are very pleased to be able to re-open our small distillery and shop (with new social distancing measures in place), though home deliveries can also still be arranged on request.  For more information please don’t hesitate to contact Richard on email:  info@fidistillers.com .

We look forward to welcoming back our customers.  Please stay safe and well.

Please note that from late July through to September 2020, the distillery shop will only be open on Saturdays from 10:30 – 1:00 pm.

Throughout this period, stock of 70cl Darwin’s Botanicals Gin will also be available from the Kelper Stores and Seafish Chandlery in Stanley.  For any enquiries please email: info@fidistillers.com or phone 21521 after 4pm.  Thank you

The opening hours for the Philomel Distillery and shop are often constrained by distilling and production work (sometimes off site). This also includes botanical picking in late summer and early autumn, when we are often away for several days at a time!

Occasionally these times need to be altered and updates will be posted on our Facebook page.

The shop is usually also open on days when cruise ships are visiting Stanley (principally afternoon hours).

Any enquiries can be sent to: info@fidistillers.com and we will do our very best to help.

If you would like us to feature any photographs of our gin in wonderful worldwide locations we would love to hear from you!
